Dear Marion,

It was a pleasure to meet you girls at the carnival last Sunday on the South Bank. I am enclosing some items (non returnable) you may find interesting for the museum.

My mother before WW2 was trained as a dress maker, she was very skilled and to make ends meat when times were hard, she took in dress making at home and these items were in button box. Buttons were always saved; spare buttons were always useful and even removed from clothing which had been despatched to the rag-bag. Before of course the origin of the charity shop.
